I never would have thought that after whipping up the first batch of rendered tallow and sharing with friends would lead us where we are today. All glory, praise & honor to our Abba Father. His Hand has been over the whole journey. Our faith was shaped, grown and tested during the many trials with Dennis’s health, yet Abba as our Father of Faithfulness, carried us when where we could only hang on to Him, with faith in not knowing the outcome, but trusting the One Who knows the beginning from the end.
Holding onto Faith (Emunah) in the Storm
My husband, Dennis, passed away very suddenly 11th August. The shock & pain has been extremely hard; how ever we can testify that in the midst of this storm, our Abba Father has been a very real & present Comforter. He has carried us & given us shalom even when we do not know what the future holds. We know the One Who holds the future, we believe that He will hold us, keep & protect us, provide for us & cover us in His shalom that surpasses all understanding. He is also the One Who is The Defender of the widow & the fatherless.
We know that Abba gave Emunah Tallow and has blessed every step of the way. He has sent the clients & opened doors that I would never have been able to imagine. We were granted 3 extra years with Dennis after 2022 where we almost lost him twice. Maybe everything was part of preparing us for the path we are on now. My prayer in 2022 was that should YHWH take Dennis then, that He would carry us through it. Now this is our reality and remains my prayer.
I do not know how anyone can go through this without Abba. He truly is the Lifter of my head and heart, I will always praise Him for His love & mercy. Even when we don’t see the whole picture, we know He works all things together for those who love Him. He still is a good Father.

About the Name – Emunah - means “faith” in Hebrew.
It pertains to truth, faithfulness, stability, steady, truly, verily, firmness, security.
Our logo & labels include elements that are very near to us. Emunah, our faith that has carried us through numerous terrible storms, the Menorah (representing the 7 spirits of God Almighty & the 7 Appointed feasts of our Abba Father) & then the Karoo…
Why the Karoo? This photo of Uitkyk, Fraserburg in the Northern Cape. A farm my parents owned since my early teens. A place very dear to me. (Later years my parents sold the farm to dear family friends, Cloete & Iwena Nortje). My father was born & raised in this small Karoo dorp. Since I can recall, his deep love and appreciation for this beautiful part of our country, spilled over to me. Loving the vast landscapes, rough edges, most amazing rocks & the stunning Nuweveld Mountain range, this place never leaves your blood or heart untouched. I am always home in the Karoo.
I was fortunate that my late husband shared this love for the Karoo and we would spend many weeks camping in the Karoo National Park just outside Beaufort West. This is also where he was hospitalized during the spider’s bite ordeal. We were carried & loved by our Karoo friends who became real family, they too felt the loss of Dennis’s sudden passing.
